• Roses From the Soul Thomas Morrill

    RAIN PAINTING THE DESERT

    Waiting hour after hour

    Waiting for that summer shower

Waiting for water to help the desert flower

    All year some wait

    To see their fate

    Hoping it will come

For all the flowers need some

They need it to soak the dry sand

    To fill the demand

    Likes it’s nature’s plan

    And it finally does arrive

    Making the dessert come alive

And they stand like so many beautiful towers

As far as the eye can see are those magnificent flowers

    THE POUNDING WAVES

    Here comes a storm

Off the coast trying to form

    Big waves are coming

    Pounding surf a drumming

    Waves not retreatin

    House being eaten

    Larger and larger they come

    Home owners mind’s are numb

    House completely gone

The last one was that strong

    Waves have a big appetite

Eating houses, from the left and the right

    No relief in sight

    Politicians not understanding our plight

    A ROMANTIC PLAN

It doesn’t have to be a shinning knight scaling tall towers

It may just be a bouquet of beautiful flowers

It can also be a gesture, a touch or a held hand

That could be a part of your romantic plan

It could be fate taking a chance

By asking a stranger to dance

Sometimes that’s how romance takes a stance

Maybe it’s a special Moon lit kiss

    That you just couldn’t resist

Perhaps an arm around a waist

The right romance has this taste

It could be a full Moon and a glass of of wine

It could be all of these things that just say you are mine
